Every painter's journey begins somewhere and can give signs of any burgeoning talent; absolutely none at all in my case!
Despite having no art education whatsoever, I did have the seed of an obsession to capture my lifelong passion, the River Severn, in paint; this obsession has proven far more useful than any inkling of talent and kept me motivated through all the ups and downs.
These are a selection of my earliest efforts which were all completed on-site where I taught myself to see and interpret the landscape.
