Awoken by Grebes and a Gurgling March River

The benefit of sleeping in a makeshift shelter is that I am exposed to both weather and wildlife on the river at dawn. Here, just above Buildwas Abbey, I sketched and made notes from my sleeping bag as the morning's drama unfolded.
