• Deadhead roses.
• Feed and prune potted olive trees.
• Bring potted citrus trees out from winter shelter.
• Prune deciduous magnolias and lightly prune rhododendrons after flowering. 
• Clip evergreen hedges - privet, box and lonicera.
• Thin out shoots on trees and shrubs pruned in the winter.   
• Prune Weigela, Philadelphus and Deutzia once flowering has finished. 
• Tie in new stems of climbing and rambling roses.
• Twine new honeysuckle growth.
